Report for book release conference of Ji Liu

Secretariat of Antarctic Forum reported that “review Antarctica and dream back to Antarctica”, the book release conference of Ji Liu’s “go to Antarctica in his eighties”, which was hosted by Antarctic Forum was held successfully in Shanghai Hilton Hotel in the afternoon on Oct 11st 2014. Over 50 guests from mainland China, Hongkong and Macao regions were present at the conference. They had a close communication with the author and shared various interesting news during the journey to Antarctica.

 

Guests at present all invited Ji Liu to sign autographs on the book and take photos together. His books were sold out in half an hour. Then Yip Gungwai, deputy secretary general of the secretariat of Antarctic Forum, announced the beginning of the activity. Deputy chairman of Central Huijin Investment Ltd and chairman of Shenyin &Wanguo securities Jiange Li and chairman of Guohua Life Lin Qiao made wonderful speeches on behalf of advanced member of Antarctic Forum and member of 2013 Antarctic team. They spoke highly of the work of Antarctic Forum for the whole year and hope Antarctic Forum will become better. Ji Liu introduced his unforgettable trip to Antarctica in 2013. He also talked about the origin, interesting news and experience of writing the book “go to Antarctic in his eighties”. Representative of Shanghai Far East Publishers made a introduction and review on the creation of the book.

 

Ji Liu signed autographs and present the book to Antarctic Forum in person on the scene. Naihua Huang, deputy chairman of Antarctic Forum, received the book on behalf of Antarctic Forum and expressed congratulation on the success of publishing the book.

 

On dinner party, elites from all walks of life exchanged and shared the experience of traveling to Antarctica with each other. Everyone present was enjoyable.

 

In the end, all guests took photos with Ji Liu on the book release conference and it drew to a pleasant and successful close.
