Secretariat of Antarctic Forum reported that the new year initiation of Antarctic Forum and the launching ceremony of Zhenghe Island Antarctic Forum was held in Shanghai Four Seasons Hotel on January 12th 2015.

Over 400 guests including former deputy secretary general of CPPCC and Chinese Ambassador to France Jianmin Wu, former vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and invited researcher of Counselors’ Officer of the State Council Yunjun Bao, former deputy dean of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Ji Liu, former president of HUANENG Power Intl Inc. Dawei Wu, vice president of Antarctic Forum Xianxun Zhang, Guojie Gui and Naihua Huang were present. 13 representatives including Jianmin Wu made speeches on the ceremony. All representatives present reached an agreement of calling on elites of all walks of life to uphold good values and realize the desires of caring for Antarctica and protecting earth, the common home of human beings.
