The 2020 Orientation Luncheon was hosted by the Antarctic Forum in ShanghaiOn December 28, 2019. Nearly 30 members attended the meeting, includingmembers of the Antarctic Forum 2013 and 2019, former director of the State Council Information Office Zhao Qizheng, former president of China Shipping (Group) CorporationLiShaode, former president of Huaneng Power International CorporationWu Dawei, former director of the Taiwan Affairs OfficeChi Chenxi, chairman of the China Symphony Development FoundationChen Guangxian,vice chairman of the Antarctic SocietyZhang Xianxun, Gui Guojie, YipKungwai and Yang Zongxian.

The Orientationfocused on the future developmentand the annual activities of the Antarctic Forum in 2020. It reviewed the 2019 Antarctic low-carbon expedition that just wrapped up successfully. The chorus singing songs as a way paying tribute to the Great Wall Station on this trip was unanimously affirmed and appreciated. The Antarctic Forum formally prepared for the idea of establishment of the Antarctic choir at this welcome party.

At the end of the orientation, Antarctic Forum presented the navigation chart of 2019 Antarctic low-carbon expedition to Minister Zhao Qizheng and his wife as a souvenir, looking forward to working with more members to promote the concept of protecting the global environment, balanced development, and the development of a community of shared future among members.
